Overview

La historia de Colombia ha estado marcada por varios períodos violentos: La Conquista, la Colonia, la Independencia, la consolidación de la República, la violencia bipartidista, el narcotráfico en los 80, las luchas guerrilleras del siglo XX y XXI. Esta realidad ha creado en los colombianos, independientemente de la corriente ideológica a la que pertenezcan, el imaginario de que la violencia es legítima cuando se utiliza para someter a los "enemigos" políticos. Sin embargo, con la firma del acuerdo de paz, en 2016, quedó en evidencia que la lucha armada no es el camino para alcanzar una sociedad justa, pues la guerrilla nunca lo logró, a pesar de intentarlo por más de 50 años. Este libro hace un recuento histórico de todos estos períodos en los que ha primado la violencia de nuestro país, profundiza en los argumentos que utilizó cada bando para justificar sus actos y hace una reflexión sobre cómo esta mentalidad de nuestro pueblo es uno de nuestros mayores problemas.
